“Our music isn’t now. It’s next.”

The belief in their music etched on their faces; words clearly heart felt as Gossyp tells it. With a colorful, Adina, and structure, Amina, Gossyp is formed. Young women; witty, comical, focused, even involved with BKMS, the biggest foundation for people looking for bone marrow transplants, more so, individuals with leukemia. (www.getswabbed.org)

Amina and Adina; sisters with a musical background form the group of the future with class, sexiness, wit, and intelligence combined with a sound they have called “Urban-Techno-Pop-Electro”. They’ve been in-studio since they were 12 & 14 and have always been a “sister duo”. They have a foundation in R&B, but have influences that vary in the genres, such as Luther Vandross, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Prince, and Kanye West.

Influences share a common ground with Gossyp. They are all artists that, in some way, the public didn’t get or weren’t ready for.

“Songs we’ve made four years ago, people are just feeling now,” said Adina. “People weren’t feeling T. Pain or Kanye. They are a different type of artist. They are artists-artists like us.” “You just have to see it with a different eye,” said Amina. “That’s what we mean by artists-artists. You won’t look at it, hear it, and get it…only an artist can.”

Why is Gossyp next? They are ahead of their time as they put it and their chemistry makes them seem like Yin and Yang. “We want to represent young women who are artistic. We kind of want to be seen as the go-getters,” said Adina. “We just always do things.”

The go-getters also take pride in their image. Gossyp represents the “woman”. They’re never seen as being any short of lady as a complete portrayal of glam, fashion, sexuality, but far from trashy. Class is upheld as the typical raunchy appeal is escaped. Raunchy brings views, however, they can be kept. “Females can be attractive and sexy without doing too much,” said Amina.

The EP, “Sylenced Noyse” will open eyes to their music and their art, with music for any age group and any ethnicity.
