July 12th 2014, the 4Knots was everything for the grungy yuppie. With the perfect fusion of sunlight, good feeling, food, and music, there were more than just buzzworthy happenings. With this being, the 4th year of the festival, it was good to see the Seaport full of onlookers and supporters.

What the 4Knots brings is that alternative look from all aspects. From a visual, the Black, White, Latin Asian, Natural, Stoner, Businessman/woman, Young Urban Professional, Starving Artists were your congregation. The Village Voice is a collective of all different aspects and reaches that gravitate to all  types of people with all different types of appeals. This festival is a drop-down menu for the Village Voice.

We got performances from Dead Stars, Re-Tros, Juan Wauters, Nude Beach, Viet Cong, Radkey, Speedy Ortiz, Those Darlins, Mac Demarco, and the headliner, Dinosaur JR, the show was set up perfectly for the music lover. The performances were placed in order to build and build and build for the next. Ultimately, when Dinosaur JR hit that stage, for those of us that were there all day, the energy was through the roof (of course not literally).

We are all waiting for next year. Check out 4Knots Festival to learn more about this great gathering. #iloveNY
